Comment:

Happy with my situation. Main concern is Lux shifting towards more control of the contact lens biz. CL sales help offset a significant portion of our staffing cost. Highly trained staff an important part of medical model implementation..

32 years leasing next to LensCrafters and I am generally very happy. Our equipment is great and well maintained. My offices have always been updated and well maintained and updated. LC has always allowed/encouraged my ODs to practice full scope if desired. Medical model is encouraged as long as spots remain available for routine vision exams. The only thing I would change is mandatory hours on Sunday, it is the main reason I lose associate ODs. Potential income has always been above industry norms, although the gap in narrowing. Sublease ODs in medium to high volume office should make well above average income. This does depend on the sublease OD being an capable business person and a caring doctor.
